In a nutshell, these are the main clubbing resorts found throughout Ibiza:

Playa d’en Bossa

Incidentally (we think not), this is where the island’s longest stretch of beach is. Here, you’ll find an eclectic mix of restaurants and bars, just steps away from Ibiza’s precious turquoise waters. Apart from its nightlife, there is no shortage of daytime activities. If you can peel away from the beach though, you’re in luck. The island’s capital, Eivissa, home to a UNESCO World Heritage site, is only 5 to 10 minutes away by car and 40 on foot.

sanantonioSan Antonio

Once a modest fishing village, but now one of the island’s top holiday spots. It’s really beautiful around San Antonio thanks to the backdrop of one of Europe’s most magnificent natural harbours (San Antonio Bay). San Antonio is alive and bustling but offers something for everybody. You’ll love its palmy promenade which leads to the marina. Plenty of good restaurants here. You’ll see plenty of people sitting outside enjoying life.

The Sunset Strip is a must visit and one of Ibiza’s most visited attractions. As you’d imagine, sunset is the best time to come and watch the sky explode in colour. After that, get stuck in whilst enjoying the perfect Mediterranean backdrop. CafĂ© Mambo and CafĂ© del Mar are particularly iconic spots for music lovers and sunset seekers alike. These venues not only provide stunning views of the sunset but also host DJ sets from internationally acclaimed artists. It gets pretty atmospheric and we’re all for it!

Beyond Calvin Harris though, 2024 has other top figure line ups. Heard of David Guetta? His famous ‘F*** Me I’m Famous!’ Residency is arguably one of the most influential in Ibiza’s history. Not only is one the island’s longest ever running parties, but without it, Ibiza probably wouldn’t be what it is today. With four World’s #1 DJ titles to his name, David Guetta is poised for his biggest season yet. Right, let’s set the record on this one. Despite Ibiza’s status as a non-stop party mecca (which it is), the island provides an entirely contrasting side for those who seek it. Away from the lively nightclubs and beach parties there are no shortage of tranquil havens where you can unwind and nourish your soul. In fact, it is quite easy to go about your entire holiday without encountering the wild side of the island. Like we say, despite its modest size, Ibiza delivers an impressively diverse array of experiences that will cater to every type of traveller.

At one point or another, the island has been influenced by the Romans, Moors and Carthaginians. If you can peel away from the electric nightlife on offer, you will be rewarded with a mosaic of history that is seen throughout the island’s architecture and customs.Unveil the Unexpected Beauty of the Dalt VilaBe it your first time visiting or your tenth, the Dalt Vila always manages to impress with its historic and architectural beauty. The Dalt Vila is the ancient, fortified heart of Ibiza’s old town and believe you me, it may just be your unexpected highlight of the trip! This UNESCO World Heritage Site is like something from a Disney tale with its labyrinth of cobbled streets and epic fortress overlooking the Mediterranean.

Compared to the livelier parts of the island the atmosphere may feel subdued, but make no mistake, these ancient medieval streets are truly living and breathing with locals and tourists converging on its plazas, bars, and restaurants. Absolutely worth a visit for incredible views, picturesque architecture, and great food. You don’t even need to spend a penny to have a good time here!

Be on the lookout though; as you descend from the castle and navigate the whitewashed streets, you may pass one of the town’s inconspicuous gems, ‘S’Escalinata’. Nestled on its namesake cobbled staircase, visitors are invited to soak in the vibes whilst enjoying one of many different cocktails, or perhaps a cup of coffee and homemade focaccia. The vibes are, well you’ll see for yourself. This is a great place to witness the sunset but make sure to arrive in advance as it can get busy.

Do keep your eyes peeled as you descend from the castle and meander through the charming, whitewashed streets; you might just stumble upon one of the town's hidden treasures, ‘S’Escalinata’. Cradled by its namesake cobbled staircase, this spot invites visitors to immerse themselves in the local ambiance over a selection of unique cocktails, or perhaps a cup of coffee paired with homemade focaccia. The atmosphere is something to experience firsthand. It's an idyllic setting to watch the sunset, but be advised to arrive early, as it's a popular spot can quickly fill up during peak season.Explore Ibiza’s Traditional Villages. Whilst on the topic of traditional and authentic, did we make it clear that Ibiza possesses its share of quaint and relaxed villages? If you need to shake off any tinnitus, we highly recommend the cute town of Santa Eulària des Riu. Situated along the eastern shores of Ibiza, this cute Spanish village feels a world apart from the bustling parties of the south. Santa Eulària des Riu is excellent for families and couples seeking a more relaxed Spanish holiday. I, for one, love the laid back vibes and stunning scenery. It’s where rugged green hills of pine forest converge with stunning beaches that you can enjoy quietly.

Santa Eulària des Riu is named after the only river flowing through not just Ibiza but all the Balearic Islands. One of the main attractions of this area is the church, ‘Puig de Miss. This beautiful fortress dates to the 16th century and is a great way to spend an hour taking in the views on top of the hill.

We recommend strolling along the paseo marítimo (maritime promenade) which leads to Santa Eularia’s port. It may prove a challenge not to peel off the promenade as it is lined with beautiful beaches that are some of our absolute favourites.
Eventually, the promenade will take you to the marina which, despite being surrounded by commerce, maintains a quiet and relaxed vibe. After checking out the lavish boats and yachts, you might be tempted to visit one of the many terraces serving up tasty food. If you enjoy yummy burgers or a Sunday roast, you must check out Project Social located on the port.
Regardless, whether you’re looking for local Spanish tapas, Indian food, or even Mexican tacos, you’ve got it all within the port.

How do I Get to Santa Eulària des RiuIf directly from Ibiza Airport? A taxi journey will take you around 20 minutes and set you back about €30.Alternatively, Ibiza’s bus transportation is very well organised and can get you around for a fraction of the price. Take the L24 for just €4 and get to Santa Eulalia within 25 minutes! If you’re starting from Ibiza Town then a taxi will take you 15 – 20 minutes and cost roughly the same.

The Beautiful Beaches of Ibiza

Untitled design 2

The Balearic Islands are known for their pristine, transparent beaches and Ibiza is certainly no exception. The island boasts more than 18km of coastline and over 50 gorgeous beaches, all of which possess their own unique charm. Whether you’re looking for dramatic coves, golden sand, something you can enjoy to yourself, or even an urban beach tucked behind the island’s capital, you’ve got it all to choose from. Even better is that the island’s compact size makes them all easily accessible by car or bus. Take your pick!
Different beaches will appeal more to different crowds but one thing they all have in common is their exceptional transparency and turquoise waters. Another notable characteristic of the coast is its calm waters. Don’t expect to find large waves! It’s all ‘tranquilo’ in this Spanish escape! Due to the lack of strong water currents the island is blessed with warm waters during most of the year. Well, in winter the temperature can drop down to more frigid levels but it’s not uncommon to see swimmers braving it out even in February! Winters are mild in Ibiza with temps around the low 20s Celcius not being an uncommon event.Water Temperatures in IbizaHere is the average water temperature month-by-month:

Is it a coincidence that Ibiza’s most popular resort is also where you’ll find its longest beach? Located only 3km south of Ibiza town, embellished by golden sand and beautiful bodies, Playa d’en Bossa is one of the busiest beaches in Ibiza, so do have this in mind if looking for something a bit more intimate. With the crowds however comes a hotspot of activities and excursions. Any preconceived images you may have of soaking in rays from a beach club whilst the world’s best DJs fill the airwaves can be found here at Playa d’en Bossa.

Although daytime provides the opportune moment for leisure and relaxation, nighttime sees the beach transform into the epicentre of nightlife and music. After observing one of Ibiza’s legendary sunsets, get prepared as the some of the world’s best nightclubs (such as Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza) draw in A-list DJs and party goers from all corners of the globe. We’re talking “all day, all night” kind of vibes, if, of course, that’s what you’re looking for.

Don’t think Playa d’en Bossa is only for the young & wild though. We love this beach for its wide array of offerings. There’s room for all tempos. Whether you’re looking for something tranquil or to party amongst the world’s best DJs, you cand do it all here.Cala Pada
At the other end of the spectrum, we have Cala Pada which is located on Ibiza’s southeast coast in the municipality of Santa Eulària des Riu. You won’t find the bustle and crowds of Playa d’en Bossa – but that’s exactly why it’s another one of our favourites. Less than 30 minutes from each other by car yet these two beaches offer very different experiences depending on what you’re looking for. Cala Pada beach is small, quiet (outside of August) and undeveloped. You’re likely to find more trees than people in Cala Pada as the beach is backed by a beautiful pine forest that, despite sounding silly, smells of nostalgia on a hot summer’s day.
If you’re searching for what feels like a personal slice of paradise, then you must scout out the beaches in this area.

Our Trending Travel Tips For Ibiza

Best Time to Visit: While Ibiza is a year-round destination, the peak season is from late May to early October. For fewer crowds and pleasant weather, consider visiting during the shoulder seasons in April, May, or October.
Getting Around: The bus service is nice and efficient. The network operates across the island offering links from Ibiza town to places like San Antonio, Santa Eulalaia, Playa ‘den Bossa and more. We do, however, recommend hiring a car or scooter so that you have the liberty to enjoy the island’s diverse landscapes and gems.
Agua, Por Favor! Ibiza’s long summer Mediterranean days can be intense. Water is a must and in Spain it’s usually consumed from the bottle rather than the tap. Be mindful that whilst bottled water from the supermarket is fine, it can get quite expensive in tourist areas and beach fronts. I’ve often found myself coming unprepared and spending a mini fortune on water.
Careful of The Costs: Ibiza doesn’t have to be costly, but it can be with club entry and drinks included. Look out for pre-sale tickets or special deals to save money!
See All That Ibiza Offers: There are so many beautiful sides to the White Island that it makes for the complete Mediterranean getaway. Party and clubbing yes, but there’s so much more.
